![]() We switch between the brake, a TBAC Ultra 7 and SilencerCo Omega twice to show the POI consistency. Here is an excellent video showing the repeatability you can expect from the Hellfire System. I know this is a common theme with this gun, but wondering if anyone specifically was using a Rugged Obsidian on their MPX with success. This Video quickly shows how the Gen 2 suppressor mounts operate and how to install: However, I installed the Rugged 3 lug adapter to the barrel and 1' spread at 25 yards went to 6' at 25 yards. – All Universal Adapters will come Black Nitrided to prevent galling. – Universal adapter is made in one operation on a state of the art CNC lathe, threads are 100% concentric to taper surface – Universal adapter system allows TOOL FREE use of multiple muzzle attachments It’ll turn pink and you’ll feel like an idiot. NOTE: The use of Lemishine (or any citric-acid cleaner) or CLR to clean your brake will likely discolor the black nitride, and will void the lifetime warranty of your product. Gen 2 Mounts come with a HELLFIRE Wrench. No fear though, its impossible to get the two stuck together in this situation due to the opposing thread directions, simply turn it the other way and they will separate, then start over. Since you will be threading the can on in a left hand direction now, if it is not torqued properly into the suppressor, you may unscrew it when attaching to the barrel. We recommend blue Loc-tite on the external threads of the mount to hold it semi-permanently in the suppressor.Allows the mount to be much more compact, and adds very little to the overall length of the system.(SiCo Omega, Saker, and Harvester started with the Gen 2 design) These mounts get torqued into your suppressor and therefore allow your suppressor to become a direct thread onto the Hellfire Universal Adapter (left hand). – Generation 2 mounts no longer use a collar like the muzzle brake. – Made to meet manufacturers specifications, but these adapters are not associated with their respective manufacturers in any way. – Mounts are Black Nitrided to prevent galling. – Made from aerospace grade 17-4PH Stainless Steel, Titanium mounts are made from US made 6AL4V – Suppressor mount allows you to use your compatible suppressors with the Hellfire Self Timing Brake system by simply removing your Hellfire Brake and installing one of these mounts – Use to convert any brake attach suppressor we do not make mounts for (this will add 1 inch of length, and is not ideal, but will work) – Any standard 5/8-24 direct thread suppressor like TBAC 30P1 Any suppressor with 1-1/8 x 28 rear cap threads It simply pulls out, but may have some carbon binding it in place. Note: When installing this mount, the small silver/gold insert that’s inside your can from the factory must be removed. – Any suppressor with 1-3/8 x 24 rear cap threads – Rex Silentium Fidelus / Viribus / Honoris There is no Universal Adapter included with this product! Works as advertised, great fast shipping. Fits my 1/2x28 threaded barrel and threads into the rugged 45 w no problems. The Fixed Mount is a stand alone mounting accessory that replaces the booster system in the Obsidian 45/9. When on the 9mm slides the Octane has ridiculous blow back to the face which I don't experience nearly as much with the R9 and why I tend to use it more as a rimfire can lately.Part of the Patented Hellfire Modular Brake System The Fixed Mount is designed for carbine/subgun platforms that have fixed barrels. ![]() I wish I had gotten an Obsidian or a Mod 9 instead of the Octane. Correct me if I am wrong, but I THINK I can do one of the following: 1. The can comes with a 45 sized piston whose thread (if I understand correctly) will not fit the 1/2x36 threads. Rimfire is dirty so you need to be able to clean the baffle stack out periodically if you shoot alot of it. So, I plan on installing an Obsidian 45 on a 9mm PCC that has a 1/2x36 threaded barrel. I have an Octane 9 as well but I tend to utilize it more for rimfire which is a bonus with a user serviceable can I think should be mentioned. A user serviceable pistol can is the better tool for the end of a handgun slide. While subgun and PCC oriented cans are not ideal they do work. The Dagger has a Venom red dot on top so its a non issue. Blocks the suppressor height sights on the CZ. I've been using my R9 with the booster on my CZP07 and my new PSA Dagger Glock 19 clone. You haven't had any issues using the Wolfman on a 308? I didn't think it was rated for that.
